UMW and BaaN IV
The successful completion of BaaN IV implementation throughout UMW Group of Companies in mid 1999 has positioned UMW to be more competitive in the market place and made UMW's IT system Year 2000 compliant. The implementation was conducted in two phases.

The first phase of the implementation was geared towards an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Common Business Application (CBA) for the Material & Environment Management and Heavy Equipment Divisions. This was completed in 1998 using BaaN IVa.

UET further then continued to implement the second phase using BaaN’s Dynamic Enterprise Modeler (DEM) with BaaN IVb. This was implemented within the UMW Group and was successfully completed in 9 months. The project was implemented for Manufacturing & Engineering, Services and Parts Division.
